The technology is visible, but the screen is only one part of the system. Plan the operating workflow

Every screen needs an owner. Decide who creates content, who approves it, who schedules it, and who responds when the display goes dark. Avoid attributing every change to the screen. A signage test is stronger when it changes one meaningful variable, runs for a representative period, and uses a suitable comparison. Operational metrics matter as well: uptime, publishing errors, expired content, support response, and the staff time needed for updates.

Build a useful pilot

Begin with one location and one defined use case. Create representative content, test it from the real viewing position, and let the people who maintain the site participate. Digital signage earns its place when it makes a physical environment easier to understand or use.
